John Baker Associate Financial Planner
John joined Daniel J. Galli & Associates as an associate financial planner in 2024. He supports the firm’s planners with the development of new financial plans and assists with ongoing financial planning for existing clients. John is passionate about helping clients better understand their financial lives and helping them work toward their goals through the implementation of holistic financial planning.
Prior to joining DJG&A, John worked as a senior accountant in Ernst & Young’s private client services group. During that time, John focused on tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals and family offices. John obtained his Certified Public Accountant license before making a career pivot into financial planning.
John received a bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance and master’s degree in accounting, both from Abilene Christian University. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, and has ambitions to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®.
A native Texan, John now calls New England home and resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a former collegiate runner he stills trains and competes in high level races, most notably the 2022 Boston Marathon. John is an active member of Aletheia Church in Boston and volunteers as a member of their guest services team. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with friends, and exploring the world.
